    At Richland Library, our mission is to help our customers learn, create and share. We believe that continuous, customized learning for all ages is the foundation for a strong economy and high quality of life. Our libraries are community hubs that match the needs of each unique area we serve in Richland County. Walking through the doors of any of our 11 locations opens up a whole new world of opportunities for people of all ages to learn, create and share together.

  • Lenoir-Rhyne University: Center for Graduate Studies

    Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Center for Graduate Studies of Columbia, South Carolina opened its doors to students and faculty in the fall of 2014. The Center’s opening brought LRU’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program to a third location and added an additional fully online Human Services program to the list of graduate degree options. In 2016, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy was also added. All programs are service oriented and consistent with the University’s mission of providing a Christ-centered, caring community. The Center shares a campus with the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, and is located in the garden level of Beam Hall, which received a major renovation prior to opening.

  • Columbia College

     We have a rich, 160-year tradition of empowering students at our women’s college. Today, we offer a personalized, liberal arts education for undergraduate women and flexible, specialized programs for co-ed undergraduate and graduate students. We also offer co-ed graduate programs and courses for adults pursuing their undergraduate degrees. Our programs are flexible and many are offered online so you can advance your career or pursue your passions while working, caring for family, or tackling other priorities.
